Dan Schmidt is a cartoonist | comic book artist | illustrator based in eastern Pennsylvania. Specializing in traditionally rendered black & white linework he is also adept at digital coloring and comic book style lettering. Emotion, story-telling, and clear communication are hallmarks of his visual work. Skills include Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office Suite, and pre-press production. Dan is a member of the Graphic Artist Guild. He sharpens his pencils with a knife and loves the smell of ink in the morning.

Dan published two original graphic novels, Worms Crawl In and Worms Crawl Out, taking on writer, illustrator, and production duties. 

He freelances with various independent publishers including:

* Finish Line Comics - Letterer & designer for Immortal Era, Corruptor, and sequential artist for Floaters.

* Orange Cone Productions - Writer and artist for numerous short stories in their Cthulhu Invades... series and Broke Down and Four Dead Bodies series.​

He graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Illustration.
